Designed for in-room and in-rack systems, the 251 Powered Zone Controller contains all the functionality needed to create
a great sounding and flexible Hi-Res Audio zone.
With two powerful, cool-running channels of on-board amplification, the Meridian 251 can comfortably drive a pair of
loudspeakers or a sound bar with our trademark fidelity and High Resolution performance.
DIGITAL BOARD:
– converter: AK4490: S/N: 120 dB dynamic 120dB.
– DSD: 2.8MHz and 5,6MHz.
– PCM from 16 bits to 32bits up to 384 kHz on USB (asynchronous).
– Up to 24Bits 192kHz on optical and coaxial.
– USB converter XMOS: XUF208 with specific program for PCM and DSD specially developed for ATOLL.

The additional DSP device, used by the Special Edition loudspeakers, doubles the available processing power allowing all audio, including MQA Core streams, to be rendered at 176.4/192kHz regardless of the incoming sampling rate. This results in increased resolution, detail and clarity to provide maximum fidelity from music and movies.
